Bonnie,

When I began experiencing discomfort and other symptoms while using the
mouse, I switched from a flat mousepad to one with a built-in wrist
rest. The mouse pad attaches to the keyboard wrist rest that I bought at
the same time, and the two are exactly the same height. It's a set
called "Puzzle Pad 3.0" by Silicon Sports. It seemed to help.

Also, there are a couple mailing lists on this topic. I have not
subscribed to them, but here is the information:

Topic: Carpal tunnel syndrome, tendonitis, etc. (discussion)
Address: LISTSERV -at- ITSSRV1 -dot- UCSF -dot- EDU
Message: subscribe sorehand Your Name

Topic: Repetitive stress injury (newsletter)
Address: majordomo -at- world -dot- std -dot- com
Message: subscribe rsi

These came from a longer posting of Useful Mailing Lists by Angela M.
Howard on 1 Oct 96. The full list is available in the techwr-l archives
at www.documentation.com, which is where I looked them up just now.

Good luck!

Estella
