I don't hand in draft copies. If someone really wants to see something
before it's finished (and I need to send something to fulfill the
deadline), I send them the file that I'm working on. Usually this document
has entire sections missing from it (there will be a heading "Using the
Text Editor" with no content, or only sub-headings below). It's pretty
obvious that it's a draft, and I don't always bother to spellcheck before I
send it. So far, the only people who have come back seemingly thinking
it's a final copy (ie: "Stephanie, could you spell-check this please?")
were my bosses when I was an employee. They were both Vietnamese and
didn't always understand when I said it wasn't complete.
