Subject:Tables From:Horace Smith <hsmith -at- WT -dot- NET> Date:Tue, 5 Aug 1997 12:35:07 -0500
Some information, such as specifications and data entry, works well in
tables. Most other information, such as how something works, doesn't. So,
to paraphrase that great tech writer, Jesus, 'Render unto tables that which
works in tables, and render unto plain text whatever doesn't.'
In addition to his other good works, Jesus managed to boil 10 commandments
down to 2. That's good tech writing in my book.
