You should *always* take them seriously. While most turn out to be a
hoax or an innocently left-behind package, the risk is just to great to
become complacent about it.
----------------------
Well, this has nothing to do with TW, but since it seems to be the topic
of the day, here's my contribution.
We've had a couple of bomb scares over the last year or two. They don't
bother me any more than the fact that I live near a volcano. It hasn't
always been that way, but I've come to be sure of at least two things
that are relevant here: 1) It's useless to worry about things over which
I have no control, and 2) there is Someone who is in complete control
and I can trust him with my life.
Take them seriously, but don't get paranoid. What percentage of bomb
threats turn out to be real? You're in more danger in your daily
commute than you are from of a bomb scare. Going to another job won't
cure the source of your fear.
