1. Prime requirement is that it must be IBM-compatible, but...
Not an OEM (Compaq, IBM, Dell, etc). Why? Proprietary drivers make it
really hard
to upgrade to a faster CD, or other new hardware.
2. Use Mac only if a high-paying client insists on it. Why? Apple is
on the way out (read the financials).
Software choice, however, is far more important that hardware choice.
Select software based on your survey of local classified employment ads.
