Subject: Employment Alternatives?

Since I am in an area where all major employers
are laying off... including our university...
non-tenured profs. are gone and tech. support
went first...

What alternatives could I explore as a tech.
writer and trainer rather than full-time
with benefits working for "the other guy?"

Competition is just too stiff for the few
jobs available. When 400 applicants are
screened for three positions obviously
commando techniques are in order.

I am not mobile... as in husband is
employed. I have much to share and want
to work.
