e-mailing docs based on templates

Subject: e-mailing docs based on templates

We have a template on which we base all our technical documentation. Within
our own organisation, it works well. In this case, everyone has the template
loaded on his or her machine. The problem occurs when a document based on
the template is e-mailed to someone outside of the company. It loses all of
its formatting.

Does anyone know can we stop this from happening? Keep in mind that our
template contains quite a few macros. Also we have tried turning off the
Automatically Update Styles checkbox in File-Templates but it changes
nothing.

We have already gone through the CAP A thing, so we know it's not a virus.

Any quick advice would be helpful.
