According to William Horton's "The Icon Book" these are the cultural
meanings of the listed colors:
Japanese: Red = anger or danger; Yellow = grace, nobility, childishness
or gaiety; Green = future, youth or energy; Blue = villainy; and White =
death or mourning.
Arabic: Yellow = happiness or prosperity; Green = fertility or strength;
and Blue = virtue, faith or truth.
Because of the continued influence of Euro-American culture, red is
becoming accepted as a danger signal in the Middle East (it's used on
stop signs and traffic lights, and for warnings in training manuals).
From this list, looks like you want to avoid blue because of the opposite
meanings in the two cultures.
