Someone noted that chapters often begin on the right-hand
page because that's what people read first. True enough.
Consider: When you flip pages in an _English_ book,
starting from the front and moving to the back, the left-
hand page is momentarily invisible as it turns past the
vertical... so you go from seeing the previous right-hand
page to seeing the next right-hand page, and only once the
turning page lies flat is the left-hand page fully visible.
Trivia note: That's why so many glossy magazines start
their articles on the left-hand pages and fill the
right-hand pages with ads... readers see the paid
advertisements first. Clever way to sell more ad space!
