At this company, the tech writers are on the same floor as the product
engineers and specialists and managers. We play the same games are the
engineers to relieve tension. We have yogurt lids that we use as
frisbees and juggling balls. Product management acturally gave us
water pistals a few weeks ago. But my favorite are the kidnappings.
Most of us have giveaway toys (from the food chains) as desk
decorations. This is a young crowd. These toys will vanish and the
notes will start. When my duck disappeared, I got notes in the
"Kidnapp" font. A few months ago, there were even pictures taken with
the camera that hooks directly to the computer. It keeps things
lively.
