FWIW:

When cutting/pasting a Graphic (bitmap) image from Adobe Acrobat
Reader 3.0 to Microsoft Word 6 (Windows 3.1), I couldn't use Word's
internal drawing tool "Text Box" to cover up a portion of the
graphic with a different callout.

Everything looked perfect on the screen but when printed to an HP
4M Plus the imported graphic always covered the Text Box. All
attempts to fix this problem using Bring Object to Front, Bring
Text to Front, Color Fill, Paste vs. Paste Special, Paste in Text
Frame, Paste in Frame, Edit Object, etc. failed.

Solution is to use Postscript driver instead of LaserJet PCL driver
supplied by Hewlett-Packard.
