Media 1 Technicom is seeking a full time technical communicator to author
Windows software support documentation in the Grand Rapids, Michigan area.
Media 1 is a growing technical communications service firm specializing in
online delivery of technical documentation. This is a long-term on-site
contract position with possibility for future full-time hire with benefits
& flex time.

Ideal candidate will possess the following traits and qualifications:
- A degree in Technical Communication or equivalent professional
experience
- High level of computer literacy in the PC/Windows environment
- A strong portfolio exhibiting clear, accurate documentation skills
- Ability and desire to work in a hectic, fast-paced environment
- Maturity, strong sense of responsibility and team loyalty
- Desire to learn new software and continuously "upgrade" your skill level
- Excellent organization plus clear written and verbal communication
skills
- Would enjoy interfacing professionally with large corporate clients as
part of a
small, service-oriented team

Advanced Microsoft Word skills a must. Additionally, proficiency with any
of the following are a definite plus:
- RoboHelp
- Adobe Acrobat
- PageMaker
- FrameMaker
- HTML Authoring Tool (Any)
- Macromedia Authorware
