Yow, Dave! Where do you shop for software??? I'm looking at PC
Connection's catalog as I write. The FULL version is $579.95 and the
upgrade price is $189.95. I don't think I would let that stop me from
"several extremely lucrative jobs" -- you could pay for that in a
very short time. And then go on to get MORE "extremely lucrative
jobs." Buying software and books is expensive, it's true, but look at
it as an investment. You cannot afford NOT to keep current with your
skills or with technology. There's just too much competition.

If you can't upgrade, see if you can find a competitive upgrade
price. I always check every avenue before I pay full price for
software...and have seldom had to pay full price, either.

Do be careful when buying someone else's used software, though. It's
seldom legal... if they have used it to upgrade, it's definitely NOT
legal for them to sell it. Some licenses even prohibit selling it
under any circumstances.

Good luck.
