Using Windows & Frame should one use ATM or Truetype? Or both?
When I print to PostScript files Frame4 docs containing TT fonts, the kerning
goes funny (peculiar, not haha). If I reformat with Adobe, same everything else:
kerning is correct. Maybe it's the driver & not the font?
TT comes with Windows, no need to buy ATM, & it's more widespread. TT has better
screen fonts too IME (in my experience).
BTW, I just installed an HP LJ 5MP printer driver, which includes HP's Fontsmart
TM. I didn't find out till it was too late that Fontsmart disables ATM V2.5. The
non-compatibility is known & is described in the .HLP. Too bad SETUP.EXE didn't
check ATM ver & put up a warning. Byebye Fontsmart till I upgrade ATM, if ever.
Should I stick with ATM, & if so should I upgrade it? What considerations for
Win32, Word, RoboHelp, & Frame5?
