Pete, I might be missing something, but surely all you need is a second
template with the A4 paper size and margins.

1. print the originals
2. import the page formats from the "A4" template.
3. regenerate the TOC and Index
4. print and proof-read to check page breaks.

If you have Frame on UNIX you can even automate most of this with fmbatch.
