Subject:TechPub tools: Interleaf, FrameMaker etc. From:Jeffrey Hsu <jhsu -at- IDDIS -dot- COM> Date:Fri, 23 May 1997 12:44:22 -0400
I'm trying to make a decision on a new tech pub tool, which should be
powerful and versatile for creating marketing documents, manuals, and
related documents, and which runs under both PC (Win95) and Unix. The
files created should be interchangeable between these two platforms.
My research has suggested two possibilities: FrameMaker and
Interleaf.
I would like to know what kinds of experiences you have had with
either or both of these tools, if you would recommend one over the other
(and why) and if there are any other choices which I may have
overlooked.
Also, I'd like to know where you would recommend the best place for
training classes for both (I am in New Jersey).
