I guess there is always a first time for a royal Internet flame. Having read
the posting of techwriter -at- PRESCIENTTECH -dot- COM, it is clear that we did not do a
very good job of demonstrating the values that the company stands for and
works hard to maintain. To whoever you are, my apologies for how you were
treated.
With that said, just a couple of responses to some of the inaccuracies in the
posting:
1) My name is Ross Squire. I am still with KTI and unfortunately, I am not
the original owner.
2) Over the past couple of years, KTI has made a concerted effort to shed
itself of any reference to job shop or body shop business. The knowledge
management approach we have developed stresses the value that the
deliverables we create produce for employees, our client's customers and the
organization as a whole. This approach promises to provide greater
appreciation and acknowledgment for people in our industry and we are proud
to be championing this cause.
3) We have recognized the shifting marketplace and supply and demand trends.
We began our Consultant Relationship and Development program over a year ago
and have provided technical communications professionals with technology
seminars, introduction to employee benefit providers to reduce consultant
benefit cost, panel discussions with leading documentation managers, and
other events.
4) KTI has over 150 consultants currently on assignment with clients that
represent over 350 of the Fortune 1000. Our experience spans everything from
traditional paper-based documentation through multimedia training and
enterprise-wide intranet knowledgebase development.
5) KTI has added experienced staff in the sales, project management, and
resource development areas throughout the corporation. The result has been a
substantial increase in our revenue and client base, improved quality,
customer and consultant satisfaction.
We strive to satisfy every client and consultant that we meet. While we
clearly have not created a raving fan here, we do have many, many satisfied
consultants that have been affiliated with KTI for many years. If you are
interested in consulting opportunities in the NYC or Boston Metro areas,
please consider spending an hour with us to make up your own mind.
Thanks for your attention.
