I've been wrestling with a font problem in a PDF file and noticed that
someone on the list referred to the PDF-L. Is this a discussion list
specifically for PDF queries?

To search for lists served by LISTSERV software, go to http://www.lsoft.com/lists/listref.html. There are now over 13,000
listserv lists (including techwr-l).
To search for any list, try http://www.liszt.com (yes, there's a z in
there). This site claims to know about over 71,000 lists, but it's not
exhaustive or up to date. For example, I searched for pdf and got a
return (listserv showed none), but in following up I found that the list
no longer exists. But then again, neither techwr-l nor techcomm shows
up either. I checked for two other lists I'm on, and only one of them
showed up. So you need to take your search results with a whole salt
lick.
I was on a PDF discussion list about two years ago. I have a call in to
the list owner and will let you know what I find out.
