Seriously, it's a decent *word processor*. Within its limits, it does
well.

1) It's a good *Word processor* - for producing memos and/or rough
drafts of chapters.
2) It has good search and replace capabilities.
3) The outline feature is great for roughing out outlines for larger
publications. I frequently outline and sketch in rough details for a
large piece in Word, then import the whole thing to FrameMaker for
actual production.
