Subject:Word problem From:Susan Brown <sbrown -at- JSCSYS -dot- COM> Date:Mon, 5 May 1997 10:20:14 -0500
Hi, Hi!!
I am sure this is very easy, but I have not been able to figure it
out (I hate MS documentation).
We are creating a small document (about 15 pages), and we want
running footers for duplex with the document title and a page number in the
format Page N of X.
I am having 2 problems (maybe three). First, when I try to insert
the word Page, there are a number of spaces (about 3 or 4) before the actual
number that has been inserted on the odd numbered pages. This is not the
case with the even numbered pages. The multiple spaces look weird, but I
can't get rid of them.
Second, I cannot find out how to determine the page count of the
document for the 'of X' part.
I said three problems, becase I might be able to solve the extra
spaces problem if I could find a variable (or whatever - gee I miss Frame)
that actually contains the current page number.
Can anyone help????
