Folks, can we end this discussion once and for all.

Two days ago I started typing a response and decided it wasn't worth the effort. But,
after seeing message after message about it, I have to respond!

Evidently you all are permanent employees making 95K/year with the latest Pentium XXX,
the latest software revs, etc. You have been out of the job market for so long that you
have no idea how nice it is to see companies posting "help wanted" ads no matter how
they are written (not that there was anything wrong with the one you are complaining
about).

I am a self-employed tech writer and believe me, I am happy whenever I see someone
looking for a tech writer, period. I don't care if they mispell words, use backwoods
grammar, transpose words, or whatever. As professionals, we can't discourage any company
from posting help wanted ads on this list or anywhere else.

It's unbelievable that this thread has been going on for so long. Let's start acting
like the professionals we claim to be. Would you express your comments face to face with
that company's HR manager?

Meanwhile, if any companies out there are looking for writers (on a consulting basis),
please feel free to contact me direct so you don't have to worry about your job posting
being critiqued and put-down for days on end.
