TECHNICAL WRITER - IMMEDIATE CONTRACT

Requirements:

3+ years experience technical writing, including installation or system
administration guides. The ability to jump in, carry out substantial
research, and produce a System Installation Planning Guide (about 100 pages)
from scratch in about 10 weeks. Familiarity with client/server technology.
The ability to write clearly and succinctly. Working knowledge of FrameMaker
5 and Windows 95 . Pluses include familiarity with RDBMS and HTML.

The Documentum EDMS (Enterprise Document Management System) is now quite
complex. Our documentation covers all the various pieces of the system but
no single document addresses the system as a whole and the problems of
installing and configuring all the pieces so that they work together and
along with third party products, such as a RDBMS. The System Installation
Planning Guide will fill this gap.

The writer will work at least part of the time on site reviewing existing
documentation, interviewing subject matter experts, and getting hands-on
experience at working through the installation process.
