I guess this is a personal preference, but I think 'mouse devices' is
one of the most inelegant solutions I've seen.

FWIW, my brother used to order three hamburgers, for example, by
asking for "a hamburger, and another hamburger, and another
hamburger."

The _Reid Manual of Style_ will be on the shelves as soon as I get
someone to publish it, so don't be too quick to blow your budgets
this year.
