I see no problem with the job as outlined below. The skills requested are a
word processor, a spreadsheet, and a web browser. If you don't have those
basic skills, you probably didn't even make it out of college.

As far as the rest of the skills, those arte skills that you will be tauhg ON
the job. I quote:

"We offer a year-long program of training in a variety of computer tools, along
with practical experience working on projects for our clients. The client work
can involve preparation of books and manuals, creation of teaching material
(both standup and online), presentations, proposals, use of graphics programs
(including VRML), work with databases, and intranet and internet projects."

The whole posting seemed reasonable to me.

I hope you are paying well. How many entry-level personnel are exposed =
to all of the tools you mention prior to getting out into the working =
world?

Granted, I agree that experience with these tools is useful and perhaps =
necessary for professional technical writers, today. But if you are =
basing intern requirements on these, you're mighty hopeful. Few =
professional tech writers have experience in all of these.=20
