Having lurked through the whole original thread, I now see the problem in
a different light.
Not understanding anything at all about multi-tiered, dynamically hashed,
persistent storage, the sentence structure of the original is just fine.
I know that if I knew what hashed and persistent were, I'd understand the
sentence. The re-write adds 13 words which make the sentence cumbersome.
Even if I knew those terms, I'd have to read the sentence four times to
get the jist.
