Experience Level: Group Leader / Senior Writer

Job Description (General):
Provide leadership to group of experienced technical writers, while also
creating and editing product documentation and marketing literature in
printed and on-line formats.

Responsibilities:
Supervise 4 permanent writers and occasional contractors; perform
editing/
peer review for writers; maintain ISO procedure documentation; schedule
projects and resources; write implementation plans and specifications.

Skills Required (Specific):
Candidates must have:
=Minimum 7 years of writing documentation and some supervisory
experience.
=BA/BS in Technical Writing, Engineering, Computer Science, or English
with
a minor in a technical discipline. (Preference given to candidates
with
Engineering or CS backgrounds).
=Knowledge of PCs, operating systems, programming languages (C
preferred),
and telecommunications/voice processing.
=Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal skills including ability to
work
in a team environment.
=Knowledge of Word for Windows, Corel Draw, Excel, MS-DOS, and Windows.

Desirable qualifications:
Experience in writing hardware/software development documentation,
familiarity
with DSP programming, real time operating systems, and telephony
concepts.
Familiarity with usability concepts, on-line documentation, and help
development are pluses.
