The International Standards Organization (ISO) covers a wide range of
subjects, and one of its most active areas is software engineering,
including software user documentation and maintenance documentation.

If anyone is interested in being part of this work (usually involving
six-monthly international travel which in the case of most delegates is
often part-funded by their national standards body or their employer), then
they should do one of the following things:

* get in touch with their national standards body and ask how they can be
involved (see the list at http://www.iso.ch/addresse/membodies.html)

* see the ISO web page at www.iso.ch

For a list of the software documentation projects being handled by ISO, take
a look at www.hci.com.au/iso
