Business Cards

When I was employed by an organization that had no external clients, I
always paid to have my own business cards printed, complete with corporate
identification, mailing address, phone number, and e-mail address. The
company had no objection to my doing so, but they too refused to pay for
the cards. I couldn't really object to their refusing to pay since it was
based on a good business reason. I didn't regard it as a refusal to treat
me as a professional, especially since they were so supportive of my
activities with STC and IEEE PCS.
