"tear sheets" publisher's term for "send me proof of published article"
<BIG grin>. Actually, that's exactly what they are. If you're published
in small press (regional mags, newspapers, etc.) somethings pay is in
copies or tear sheets. Helps to build up publishing track record and
provides potential editors and publishers idea of style, fields you like
to write about, etc.
