Colleagues,
I did not read every word of every post on this subject simply because it is
not of much interest. However, a couple of notes seem appropriate.
Someone suggested using Iomega or SyQuest discs as removal hard drives. I
have a niece who uses SyQuest 235 MB discs in just this way. She must have
at least a dozen of them. Although it is probably not important, she
happens to be a Mac user.
Second, this may be a dumb question, but would FTP be a viable means of
transmitting large files? Storage, obviously not, but if getting them from
point to point is the problem, perhaps FTP could be used in some
circumstances?
