Anyways, enough about PKZip. David Castro sent me email suggesting
PowerDesk
(see http://www.mijenix.com) which according to him "replaces Explorer in
Win95, and handles all zipping/unzipping almost transparently."

Probably worth checking out if you haven't already acquired WinZip.

I believe that the shareware version on PKZIP 2.04g does not support the
-& disk span option.

Powerdesk is a very nice package, especially the "Explorer Plus," which
brings back some of the niceties of the old File Manager.
