Thank-you all for your on- and off-line recommedations.
It seems (and I beleive this was pointed out by some respondents
as well) that both points of view are right. Grammatically, "errored"
is wrong; error isn't a verb. It is however an industry standard
which makes it correct in my client's datasheet.
