I think this is too large a grouping...
DTP includes everything from leaflets to Books.
Word is more than adequate for small short things.
It's faults lie in the area of complex book-length
(over 300 pages with lots of graphics, indices, and
navigational tables) documents.
I use word all the time for short stuff but it is really
a pain otherwise.
