TECHNICAL WRITING JOB ANNOUNCEMENT

Datastream Systems, Inc., a rapidly growing software development
company, plans to add a mid-level technical writer to it Technical
Communications group. We are seeking professional technical writers to
write and edit software user manuals, training manuals, and on-line
documents.

THE TECHNICAL COMMUNICATIONS GROUP

The Datastream Technical Communications Group is housed in the
Development Department and currently consists of 5 technical writers,
all of whom have an advanced degree in either technical communication
or English. The cumulative and variant expertise within the group has
contributed to the professional achievement of five awards in the 1996
STC Carolina Foothills & South Carolina chapters Publication
Competition, including the award of "Best of Show," and an award in
the STC International Technical Publications Competition as well.

THE POSITION REQUIREMENTS

ú Degree or advanced degree in technical writing
ú Experience in writing software and training documentation
ú Knowledge of software documentation principles
ú Proficiency in Microsoft Windows and Windows 95
ú Proficiency in Microsoft Word for Windows 7.0 or FrameMaker
ú Experience with on-line help software, such as RoboHelp
