In a meeting (preferable) or email to the group if it's the only way,
present the simple statement that you are editing stuff to make it better
(more accurate, clear, appropriate to audience, etc., whatever) so that
the whole project benefits from these corrections -- the same as coding
standards, Quality Assurance, and/or compilers thoroughly test the
engineering parts of the project. Adding "it's not *my* personal style
vs. yours anymore than a compiler message 'invalid operator' is
personal," might be the concrete example that completes the point.
If you want to open up discussion, ask about how QA/Test "edits and
corrections" are received.
