Are you writing safety data sheets for chemical products?

Then I am interested in hearing from you! Background follows below.

Please send me an e-mail with the Subject "ISO 11014" directly to

Peter Ring <prc -at- pip -dot- dknet -dot- dk>

answering the following questions:

1. Do you use the ISO 11014-1 standard?

2. From a MANUFACTURER's viewpoint, does it work satisfactorily?
If not, what should be improved? - if possible with suggestions.

2. From a WRITER's viewpoint, does it work satisfactorily?
If not, what should be improved? - if possible with suggestions.

3. From a USER's viewpoint, does it work satisfactorily? (Does it
make user friendly safety data sheets?)
If not, what should be improved? - if possible with suggestions.

4. There exists a not yet issued draft for an ISO 11014-2, which is
to be a collection of samples of good safety data sheets.
Do you think this could be helpful in your work?

Please number your answers according to the questions.

The background for these questions is that the Danish Standard
association - on initiative from the Danish industry - has created a
committee on the needs for a Danish Standard which is to be an
improvement of the ISO 11014-1. These improvements may later on be
included in a revised version of ISO 11014-1. I am a member of this
committee, and our next meeting is 15 August 1996.
