Thanks for the suggestions - I have gotten some great input,
however I realize I may not have provided enough information.

1. Our format is uncompressed TIF, although we tried BMP and WMF.
2. So far, the screen captures have been done on either a MAC and
brought over to a PC (no change
in resolution) or captured on a PC and put into Framemaker on a PC

3. I am using the Import by reference command in Framemaker, to
keep the docs smaller in size. However, I tried
copying right into the document as well ...no change.

4. I am resizing my graphics using the scale command.

5. I have tried the built-in utility to capture on the SUN
(snapshot), the mac screen capture and a product
called Snag It.

6. Another problem is that once it looks good on the printer, it
looks terrible on the screen or vice versa. Because we are an
Internet Software provider we must have the documentation available
on line as well as in printed format.

Thanks for your help!
