Boston police have charged 27 year-old Eric Brown of Roxbury with the
slaying of two men, one of them 38 year-old technical writer Thomas
Meyer of San Francisco, that occurred in the early morning hours of June
16th on Appleton Street in the city's South End.

Apparently Meyer and the other murder victim, 30 year-old Athos
Oliveira of Somerville, MA did not know each other. Police believe
that Oliveira was the first of the two to be shot and killed and that
Meyer, standing a short distance away, may have witnessed the murder and
froze.

Meyer was in Boston to attend a friend's wedding.
