But the time display on a VCR is more than just a time display: it must
be set if you plan to schedule the recording of a favorite show. If
those VCR manuals were more interesting, everyone would read theirs and
know how important that little clock is ;-), providing, of course, that
the techwriter went beyond just describing the task of setting the clock
and explained the concepts behind it.
