Subject:Screen capture/Unix terminal emulators From:Chris Hulin <chrish -at- CTL -dot- COM -dot- CY> Date:Sun, 23 Jun 1996 15:29:14 +0300
BACKGROUND:
We are just about to start on a doc project involving capturing screens of
programs running under SCO Unix in ANSI or VT100 terminal mode, i.e.
character mode with attributes - not X-windows. I want to preserve the
colours, cursors etc, so I am capturing as bitmaps rather than text. The
capturing is no problem with Corel capture, and I've juggled the Unix colour
settings to produce acceptable shades of grey for paper docs.
PROBLEM:
The problem is getting a decent terminal emulator that will run under W95.
The Telnet that comes with W95 won't display line-draw characters. DejaWin
won't display line 25 of the screen properly. Others (name forgotten)
require W95 to run in "Safe" mode or DOS mode or whatever, involving
constant rebooting etc.
QUESTION:
Does anyone know of a terminal emulator that runs in a W95 window, displays
line-draw characters, and shows all 25 lines of a screen, and gives some
choice over display font, size, resolution etc.
Thanks
