I don't know about the chemicals, but I remember when I checked my
first set of bluelines I panicked at the end of the day when the black
type in a regular book appeared brown! I was afraid I'd permanently
injured my eyes but was told this was a temporary adjustment and would
disappear by the following day, which was indeed the case.
Wish someone would have warned me, though!
