Has anyone had any experience converting Apple Guide Help to HTML? If so,
does it work? Is it painless? I've played around converting Apple Guide to
RTF, and it was a big pain. There was a lot of tweaking to get it to work.

The reason I'm asking is part of a bigger dilemma which I'd also
appreciate comments on. Currently we're using in internal tool to do all
our Macintosh help. We desperately need to upgrade the help because it's
basically just context-sensitive text on a dialog (no searching, no
graphics, no hypertext). We have another internal tool which does
hypertext, but it still has no searching, no graphics, and no spell check
for writers, among other things. We're having a major release of this
product (approximately 10 help files) in Febuary, so this is the time to
upgrade to something else.

I had originally decided to use Altura's Quick Help, however, with the
move to HTML, it seemed silly to start converting everything to RTF and
then convert everything to HTML later. (I doubt we'll get all the files
converted for February, so this is potentially a year-long project.)

Any comments, suggestions, or similar experiences are greatly appreciated.

Anne
