In response to your mouse pad survey:
I recently had a mouse pad with a clear plastic top-sheet that was attached
at one side of the pad only, so that I could "flip up" the sheet and put
sticky notes, etc., under the clear plastic. The company's logo (an
attractive, colorful design) was printed on the underlying pad so that it
showed through the clear cover. It was pretty neat, which is probably why
it disappeared one day.
