Solutionsoft, the makers of HelpBreeze, have released Web Dialer Lite
as free software. This small program, callable from winhelp, seems to
allow pretty smooth Internet connectivity with Winhelp and is easier
to use than a DLL and behaves more predictably than ShellExecute().
Read the docs carefully; the commercial version of Web Dialer is not
needed for winhelp net linking. Also supports several different browsers.
