I have been following this thread on and off now; interesting stuff:

With ref to "perfection", IMHO, this can never be achieved as such, thus
striving for perfection is the best policy to turn an average job to a good
one.

David I do not understand the sentiments of your VP. Mucking up a job is
even less cost effective IMO.
