There is a new hypertext journal dedicated to being more than a
print-based journal on line. It's called kairos. There is an article in
there by Johndan Johnson-Eilola about the impact of hypertext and the
information explosion on business and technical writers.

It is certainly interesting, but I am not sure that it meets your
definition of good hypertext (perhaps because it was originally published
linearly). I am going to do a review of it for a project on hypertext in
my grad class: Computers in the Classroom. Would you be willing to share
your opinion of that article with me? I am particularly interested to se
if/how it meets your criteria for good hypertext. I'll share my
reactions with you afterward, if you like, but I don't want to prejudice
your opinion.

I have been a tech writer for many years and still teach tech writing as
well as freshman composition while I complete my MA here at IUPUI
(combined campus of Indiana University and Purdue University at
Indianapolis). I have experimented a bit with interactive fiction on the
net in an attempt to experiment with breaking down the linearity, but
brnaches, it seems to me, are just more complex lines.
