Not now, but at my last job the tech writers were under the MarCom manager,
and I didn't sense any heavy weight on good documentation. There was
lip service paid, but the truth is we were understaffed and there was -no-
effective means of quality control on the manuals. The manager really wasn't
concerned with the accuracy of the documents so much as he was concerned that
they looked pretty and made the hardware ship dates.
