You may or may not be right, but try saying that over there! Try pointing
out to the copyediting-L folks that most technical folks don't hyphenate
"email."

Most of the grammar discussions that occur on techwr-L have also occurred on
copyediting-L. The discussions of those subjects on copyediting-L are almost
always better informed and more useful.

So if you'd like to read postings about grammar, vocabulary, spelling, and
punctuation, subscribe to copyediting-L. Those subjects may be relevant to
technical writers, but when they come up on this list, they spawn a great
deal of heat and not much light. ...RM
