Oh, but there's a more serious problem. My nephew will graduate from
high school in 2000. What's his class going to be called? The class of 00?
Double naught? And what about that cheer we had when *I* was a senior:
"eighty-two, eighty-two, eighty-eighty-eighty-eighty-eighty-two!"
What's the class of 00 going to chant at pep rallies?
