The Japanese seem to like comics. There's a much greater market for them
among adults than there is in the USA.

Furthermore, while most Japanese professionals are pretty comfortable with
the 1000 most common kanji, a surprisingly large proprtion of them have
difficulty reading complex material. ...RM
